How can we teach Spanish One students to think using higher level thinking skills?
With culture! Show a slide depicting culture and students fill in the worksheet about what they see, what they observe, and what they wonder.
Make sure you note this in your lesson plans and when you are being observed that your students are using their higher level thinking skills.
You can do one each day or once a week – there are 100 slides and worksheet along with two catchy songs encouraging them to learn those abstract question words and to internalize the process of “I see, I think, I wonder.” Just follow along or seek out picture by topic and/or country.
